Today was not particularly noteworthy. We checked out of the hostel, but left our packs, wandered a bit, and had one last cheap lunch before heading to the airport. Flights to Oslo and on to Stavanger were uneventful.
On the flight to Stavanger, my seat mates were a young well-educated Norwegian couple. Their media-inspired misperceptions about the US were interesting, such as that Texas is a dangerous place to visit because even a slight infraction can land you in prison.
A few photos from our wanderings:
The KGB headquarters, know as the “Corner House” because its public entrance was on the corner.
Tomorrow, finally, we get back to mountains. We’ve had our fill of cities for a while. Rocky trails are so much easier on the feet and legs than sidewalks!
